W19: POGIL Project Workshop: Writing POGIL Activities - An Introduction

Rick Moog, Franklin and Marshall College

This workshop provides a first step in learning how to write effective POGIL activities. Participants will work in groups to analyze the structure of POGIL activities, and to develop insight into the types of questions that are used, and ways to sequence them, in order to construct effective materials. Previous knowledge of POGIL – such as attendance at the Introduction to POGIL workshop – is a prerequisite for this workshop.  This workshop also provides background that is necessary for the Writing POGIL Activities – Advanced workshop; 3-hour session.

Intended Audience: HS/UG

$25 fee; limit of 36 participants
