W71: Chemistry for Beginning Vernier Users

Jack Randall, Vernier Software & Technology
Angie Harr, Vernier Software & Technology

If you’re new to the world of data collection with Vernier, or would like a basic refresher, this workshop is for you. Join us for hands-on practice using Vernier’s LabQuest Mini computer interface and our Logger Pro 3 software, as well as our LabQuest – an enormously popular stand-alone device.  Conduct a selection of experiments found in our three lab books, Chemistry with Vernier, Advanced Chemistry with Vernier, and Investigating Chemistry through Inquiry.  The pH Sensor, Drop Counter, Temperature Probe, Gas Pressure Sensor, Conductivity Probe, and Colorimeters will be used to set up the experiments.  By the end of this workshop, you’ll be a pro at data collection and analysis with Vernier. Appropriate for college and high school chemistry; 1.5-hour session.

Intended Audience: HS/UG
