W72: Chemistry for Experienced Vernier Users

Jack Randall, Vernier Software & Technology
Angie Harr, Vernier Software & Technology

Now that you know the basics of Vernier data collection, this workshop will highlight experiments from our new series of laboratory experiments for advanced high school, general, and organic chemistry courses. The workshop will feature the LabQuest Mini interface with our Logger Pro 3 software and our popular handheld data-collection solution, LabQuest. This is in addition to our new instruments-all excellent choices for organic and general chemistry laboratory classrooms. Investigate spectroscopy with our SpectroVis Plus VIS-NIR CCD array spectrophotometer/fluorometer. Conduct gas chromatography experiments with our Vernier Mini GC. Use our new Vernier Melt Station to determine the melting temperature of solid substances. In addition, we will feature a brand new instrument for laboratory chemistry. Appropriate for college and high school chemistry; 1.5-hour session.
